| You can blame Ohio, but you can't blame me! | |
| from Explanation Point! by the First Act Elections give a voice to the people. But what should you do when your vote differs from the final results? Well, you can write a song clarifying your position on the matter. Point and case: 2004 marked
one of the most controversial elections in history. With the office of
the President hanging in the balance, the attention of the nation turned
to the great state of Ohio. The First Act's Tim Hollister and Michael McKeon
woke at dawn on Tuesday, November 2, and headed for their alma matter,
Revere High School, to cast their votes. It wouldn't be until nearly two
months later on December 28 that they would learn that their home state
had not only disappointed themselves, but millions of non-Ohioans as well.
This song is a waiver of accountability. The
First Act hereby claims no responsibility for Ohio's choice for President
of the United States.Return: the
